History
Welcome to Doc Bar Gem Ranch, our breeding program is founded on the family of cutting horses known as, "The Dynasty". Doc Bar, when crossed with the great Poco Tivio daughter, Teresa Tivio, created ten offspring that would change the cutting horse world. These offspring were Fizzabar, Cal Bar, Boon Bar, Docs Haida, Cattabar, Cuttabar, Cran Bar, Docs Remedy, Nu Bar and Doc Bar Gem. Gem is the youngest of these at 32 years old in 2007. These horses and their offspring, when crossed with other great bloodlines, such as, Peppy San Badger, are responsible for many of the top cutting horses of all time. Consider some of the cutting superstars produced from these bloodlines, including Peptoboonsmal, Dual Pep, Haidas Little Pep, Royal Blue Boon, Miss Dual Doc and many others. This is why we feel there is no finer blood available to produce cutting horses. When we decided to add some color to our program, we only wanted bloodlines that could measure up to the best. We based our paint breeding on Delta, the only paint horse in the NCHA Hall of Fame. When bred to Peppy San Badger, she produced Delta Flyer (LTE $260,000+) who was 1986 NCHA Open Super Stakes Champion. Delta Flyer is still the #7 all time earning offspring of Peppy San Badger and his #5 all time earning Stallion. See more about Delta Flyer in the book, "King Ranch and Little Peppy, The Best of His Get" by Gala Nettles. When bred to Doc O'Lena, Delta produced Delta Olena, APHA World Champion and multiple World Champion producer. We sincerely thank Floyd and Marianne Moore for allowing us to be part of the "Delta" family. Thank you for visiting our site, we hope you enjoy our horses.
